COLLECTION AT THE DOOR IN AID OF THE CHARITY "AUDIOACTIVE"

Prepare yourself for the loudest if not the biggest night of the new media calendar on Wednesday 25th September when 10,000 Miles High and Rising hits The Hanbury Ballroom, 83 St Georges Rd, Kemp Town.

A total of three live acts and two DJs, all from Brighton & Hove's new media industry will entertain from 9pm until the small hours of the morning with an eclectic mix of styles, sounds and sensations.

The line up will include Salter Cane, purveyors of swampy country noir and leading lights in Brighton's burgeoning 'Americana' scene, Gravity Car who are already becoming well known as one of the most accomplished new bands on the Brighton music scene, and singer Mikee, making a return to Brighton's stage for the first time in four years with jazz, rock and soul to soothe you. Finally the DJs will take you through the night with a mix of classic tunes from all walks of musical history, we've got a little something for everybody!

Organised by the acts themselves and conceived by the man who brought you the spoof Brighton New Media 'Nerdy Awards' last December. The event is being run to help raise money for the charity AudioActive. A collection bucket will be situated by the door for all those who would like to donate any spare beer money to this well deserved cause, all contributions will be greatly appreciated, however large or small.

Doors open at 9pm and close at 2 in the morning. Entry is by invite only. If you want to register for a place on-line, then fill in your email address below.
